have modified my Kawai K5000s to accept Sounds/Banks/Files from USB Stick, by using a USB Floppy Emulator.

sorry for the bad Photo quality:

Attention:  you must change the default jumper inside from floppy emu

  1. Is it possible to show the jumper that needs to be changed? Do you mean the primary ribbon cable, or another connection?

I ask because I have done this mod to my K5000... I get power just fine, but can't get the K5000 to read the files from the USB stick.

I also had no luck with formatting and partitioning USB sticks to make them readable to the Kawai as floppy size, could that be because there's also a connection error that I'm not aware of?

    1. The jumpers are in a row on the Gotek unit, and each one is marked -  J5, JA, JC, JB, S0, S1 and MO. They are just behind where the ribbon cable attaches to the Gotek, on the left hand side.

To get the Gotek working with the K5000, set the jumpers on the Gotek to JC and MO.

      That worked for me.
